Mathura road accident: A devastating road accident occurred on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura on Saturday morning (July 19, 2025), resulting in the death of six people and serious injuries to two others. The incident took place in the Baldev police station area when a speeding car, en route from Delhi to Agra, overturned following a collision with another vehicle.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the car was completely wrecked. Local residents promptly informed the police about the accident. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and, with the help of locals, extricated the injured from the mangled vehicle and rushed them to the hospital.
Tragically, doctors at the hospital declared six individuals dead upon arrival. The remaining two occupants sustained critical injuries and are currently undergoing treatment.
Victims Identified:
While six lives were lost in the tragic accident, five of the deceased have been identified. They are:
- Dharamveer, resident of Harlalpura, Agra.
- Rohit, son of Dharamveer.
- Aryan, son of Dharamveer.
- Dalveer alias Chhulle, resident of Badhpura Hussain village, Morena district, Madhya Pradesh (brother of Paras Tomar).
- Paras Tomar, resident of Badhpura Hussain village, Morena district, Madhya Pradesh (brother of Dalveer).
The identity of the sixth deceased is yet to be confirmed. The injured have been identified as Dharamveer’s wife, Soni, and daughter, Payal, both of whom are in critical condition and receiving medical attention.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. Initial reports suggest that the high speed of the car may have been a contributing factor. The collision led to a temporary disruption of traffic on the Yamuna Expressway, which was later restored by the police.
This tragic incident underscores the dangers of speeding and the importance of adhering to traffic regulations on high-speed corridors like the Yamuna Expressway. Authorities are urging commuters to drive responsibly to prevent such heartbreaking losses.
